EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Secretarial or College degree preferred with a minimum of one year of administrative experience. POSITION SUMMARY: Provide clerical, secretarial, and administrative support as required to attorneys, paralegals and staff. TASKS: • Prepare attorneys correspondence, and other legal documents as requested • May manage attorneys calendar • Schedule meetings and make travel arrangements. • Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system for the attorneys. Retrieves information from files when needed. • Organize and prioritize large volumes of email and phone calls. • Sort and distributes mail. • Revise general correspondence and memos. • Proofread correspondence for spelling and grammar makes appropriate changes. • Complete check requests and expense reports. SKILLS: • Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Basic knowledge of office systems (i.e., Carpe Diem, CMIS, etc.). • Minimum typing of 60 wpm with 2% or less error rate. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to effectively prioritize workload to meet deadlines • Some analytical ability is required in order to find solutions to various administrative problems and prioritize work. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Fine hand manipulation (heavy typing, dialing, filing); sitting/standing/walking/stooping; ability to lift. This job description is not a contract or employment agreement.
