High end cosmetic company is looking for a full-time Traffic Manager to maintain and synthesize the work flow between departments to ensure all project deadlines are met from inception to final production. We’re a brand focused on our artist-quality beauty products, packaging and creativity. •Coordinate development, production and distribution of materials generated by the marketing, product development and merchandising departments. •Receive, prioritize and schedule requests for internal clients needing creative services •Process orders in a timely manner and manage projects according to the agreed-upon schedules and budgets •Manage the production of marketing and visual communications collateral materials in order to ensure timelines and high-quantity deliverables, create project schedules, maintain job files, track and monitor progress, and route projects. •Review copy prior to initiating layout and ensure proper proofreading/editing takes place by utilizing in-house and external services. •Review completed jobs for accuracy and completeness of all requests before processing to the designers, vendors, etc. and work with the requestor to complete/correct information. •Conduct weekly traffic workflow meetings and maintain job log of projects in progress, distributing it to each person in the group. •Update job log as necessary through the week. •Provide weekly job status updates to key requestors to ensure timely and ongoing communication regarding all current and planned jobs. Negotiate for extra time when needed •Communicate pertinent information about problems and anticipated problems within the group in an accurate, complete, concise and timely manner to the department heads. •Maintain and continually develop a list of freelance designers and other vendors who can be contacted with projects when needed. Make initial contact with freelancers and ensure they are provided with all pertinent details to make efficient use of their time. This position requires: •Bachelor degree in Marketing or Business •Minimum 3 years experience in project oversight/coordination (preferably manufacturing/retail environment) •Knowledge of production and printing process •Knowledge of the total marketing mix •Highly organized and thorough individual •Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with others to seek out information •Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with co-workers and management at all levels •Ability to focus on detail while prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously •Leadership skills, including the ability to tackle project objectives on-schedule and under budget, interpreting issues before they become problems and resolving unanticipated project issues effectively and independently
