Division of dynamic $1B+ Company has challenging opportunity for a Traffic Manager to take ownership of the Traffic Department within a state-of-the-art Distribution Center. Reponsibilities include overseeing the creation of all traffic export documents for Sea and Air transport in accordance with local and international laws and regulations. You will oversee all communications to and from customers and agencies. The Traffic manager will create and implement work processes to improve productivity, reduce costs, and drive efficientcies. You will monitor changing market demands and regulatory environments and make changes as needed. This position is responsible for Team development, Staff development, financial/budgetary planning, customer satisfaction, security and safety, strategic planning, and process improvemens.
The successful Candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience in Traffic roles, including supervisory and freight forwarding expereince. Specific experience in containerized or breakbulk/LTL shipping within the Trucking Industry is preferred, and should include high-volume inbound/outbound general freight operations. The position requires strong decision making capability, Team building, and people management skills.
