Job Description:
The eMail Administrator actively monitors and maintains all aspects of the mail delivery infrastructure consisting of MS exchange, qmail and postfix. We seek the best Strongmail Administrator the industry has to offer.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The successful candidate will:
· Have a solid background in Strongmail / MTA configurations.
· Be instrumental in the analysis and/or design activities requiring in-depth knowledge of MTA configuration.
· Aid in our email systems operation, maintenance, support, upgrades, implementations, and troubleshooting.
· Have experience with high-volume mail clusters
· Work diligently to offer support to and working closely with our Sales, Engineering, IT, and Marketing teams.
· Recommend system improvements as needed and implement changes as approved.
· Comply with all policies and procedures, and enforces all established security procedures.
· Show continuous review of overall infrastructure performance.
· Ensure high deliverability rates, and manages reputations and relationships with larger ISP's.
· Document and verify relevant processing procedures, system documentation and training of data processing and employees on system usage.
· Be responsible for management of the office environment consisting of Windows, OS X and Linux desktops, wireless, IP printers, and Samba.
Required Skills and Experience:
· Candidates should have 4+ years of experience as an eMail Administrator (PHP, MySQL experience is a huge plus, but not mandatory)
· Must show experience with Exchange, Postfix, Qmail, as well as proprietary MTA's Strongmail or PowerMTA.
· Ability to work under pressure and multi-task are necessary.
· Project management experience is a plus and excellent communication and organizational skills needed.
· Must be willing to respond to emergencies at any time and provide normal and emergency production support.
· Knowledge of best practices for implementation and application of the Strongmail Email Platform.
· Advanced knowledge of Strongmail systems operation, including support and maintenance.
· Advanced knowledge of Strongmail hardware: ability to maintain and support our Strongmail email server.
· Advanced knowledge of Strongmail software platform.
· Strongmail API knowledge.
· Ability to perform on a team as well as alon
· BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Computer Engineering is preferred
