Special press release for:
St. Paddy’s day fun at Carnival at St. Maria Goretti Church in Long Beach
You, your family and neighbor friends will have the "luck of the Irish good time" at St. Maria Goretti’s’ annual Carnival complete with old style carnival rides, wonderful live entertainment (bands and singers) of all types, a two day silent auction, 1,000 square foot white elephant sale, 12 world ‘round special food booths, kids face painting, magic acts, park type train rides, Balloon blowers and twisters. This is a great event and it’s fun for all ages at St. Maria Goretti Church. March 14, 15, 16 (Friday to Sunday) at 3954 Palo Verde Ave., Long Beach, Just south of Carson, and there is plenty of free parking at the church parking lot
The yearly carnival has been ongoing for over ten years and is well known throughout the community as the "place to be the entire weekend". Many people come to bid on the silent auction and complete all of their Christmas and yearly birthday gift shopping in advance. Local stores and organizations donate $1,000 in gift baskets, trips, cruises, car accessories, grocery discounts, ski trips, big bear cabins, vacations, professional services from bookkeeping to dental care to doggy care to legal services to tax preparation to full Wine country trips, and more! You can obtain a full year of vacations while making a pittance of tax deductible donation as well
Thousands of kids from local communities come to enjoy the rides and competitions, clowns, face painting, temporary tattoos and wonderful local talented bands and singers. The various cultural foods attract the strongest repeat crowds anxious for food from the Philippines, Mexico, Italy, Asia, all other hemispheres and of course famous local pizza and several kinds of soft drinks and a variety of beers also. And surprise surprise you can even order in English or your native language too. You can buy just about any odd, retro, deco, unusual item you’ve searched for on ebay and all the local garage sales in the 2 full "just emptied warehouse lockers" of white elephant items. That neato old eye rolling Felix the cat clock sold for only $2 last year as did the working old reel to reel tape deck and deep water fishing gear and the like new working water heater sold for $5 in less than five minutes!! And what a variety of clothes and odd lamps and that cheap shop vac for the garage and even stuff we cannot mention here for limited space. Everyone gets a great deal on the white elephant sales (even though we’re still looking for the white elephant or any other color!)
Local well known hot spots popular band "Breadrin Daddies" is Headlining the band events and highlighting 3 days of music filled entertainment
This really is a lot of fun and entertainment free for entire family. The old fashion carny rides "scare your underpants off" and fast talking one eyed pitchmen boast you can get rich or gain the affection of the girl you’re with "today" by just knocking down five (glued and nailed) bowling pins with "three balls fer only one dolla’!".
So mark your calendar and attend the fun at St. Maria Goretti Church March 14, 15, and 16 (Friday through Sunday) at 3954 Palo Verde Ave., Long Beach, Just south of Carson. Again they have plenty of free parking and several local busses stop at the corner as well. St. Maria Goretti is one of the oldest established Churches in Long Beach and still offers parochial schooling at their church campus.
Century 21 Results is one of the prime sponsors and owner Tom Swanner added that his entire extended family attends for all 3 days and usually purchases several vacation getaways for their nieces , client and employee outings. "The St. Maria Goretti Church grounds are so large and park like that you can walk from one side to another and see walking magic acts, kids on a training screaming in delight, guys on stilts, petting zoos, kids being photographed on pony’s, local bands playing to standing room only, face painting on wiggly kids, every conceivable carnival ride, kids with baggies of just won circling gold fish, cars for discount sales from local dealers, babies in strollers hidden behind mounds of pink sticky cotton candy and some lady exclaiming she got a great deal on some old "stickly stand " she plans to sell on ebay after having appraised on Antique Road Show and how the fake Van Gogh "Iris’s" painting really is not fake but the real thing and in fact signed by the painter himself. This place is amazing not only in entertainment but the never changing oddity of events as well" Swanner added.
