Senior Project Manager Transportation, Senior Project Manager to oversee client projects to successfully deliver the Work Program.Typical duties include:Manage several design projects as the client Project Manager.Direct the project including consultants to obtain successful completion.Coordinate and participate in contract negotiations with consultants and prepare scope of services for said negotiations.Prepare, monitor and drive project schedule. Monitor and control project budgets.Evaluate changes to scope prior to implementation.Responsible for performing completed staff work and making recommendations to the client on changes and/or additions to projects and/or Work Program.Review and approve consultant progress reports and invoices.Coordinate with local DOT districts, agencies and private developers to ensure the project is delivered as necessary.Establish the necessary agreements with these agencies through the Turnpike legal office.Communicate with the public regarding project descriptions and issues.Coordinate with all Turnpike offices to ensure the project meets the needs of the Turnpike.Communicate frequently and clearly the status of projects, including issues and recommended solutions, to the client.Evaluate consultant performance.Participate in other duties as necessary to support the supervisor and DOT/Turnpike requests.
Degree(s) & Certifications: P.E. Registration in the State of Florida
Qualifications / Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Helpful Experience: Must have strong interpersonal skills, good public speaking ability
Minimum Years of Experience: Minimum of 12 years experience in Transportation design and/or Project Management
