Aon Consulting has been entrusted to conduct a candidate search for a Senior Payroll Manager for one of our esteemed client companies, United Rentals, for their corporate office in Tampa, FL.
Founded in 1997, United Rentals, Inc. is the largest equipment rental company in the world, with nearly $3.9 billion in annual revenue and 700 rental locations throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico
The Senior Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall direction/production of United Rentals payroll staff
Duties:
- Identify, develop, & deploy, best practices & continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase staff efficiencies, staff development & overall process effectiveness
- Ensure sound controls are maintained & followed in compliance with existing internal/external governance controls.
- Develop & maintain working relationships among Managers, Corporate Finance, & others within UR, & 3rd party vendors dedicated to our Payroll & HR processing needs.
Requirements:
BS Degree (Accounting, Finance or Management)
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
Min 10 years payroll management experience, gained supporting a North American operation w/ multiple legal entities across multiple states & provinces where transaction-processing volume was significant (10,000+ employees).
Canadian Payroll experience
5+ years of system conversion exp
5+ years exp using an outsourced payroll service provider such as Pro-Business, ADP, etc.
Expertise /knowledge in time & attendance applications & multiple ERP applications i.e. PeopleSoft, Lawson, Oracle, etc.
Experience w/ a large Shared Services Center, & exposure to principles of TQM, highly desirable.
