Job Description
SQL Reports Writer requires an accurate and logical Reports Developer, with extremely good attention to detail. The successful candidate will be able to clearly understand business needs and translate them into reports: both accurately fulfilling the requirements of report specifications, and identifying useful additional data during the process and feeding it back to the specification owner
A familiarity with ODBC, MS SQL2005 and MS SQL2000 will be beneficial. The applicant must have demonstrable experience in Microsoft SQL reporting services and Crystal Reports
Job Requirements
oSignificant experience with the following software:
SQL Server Reporting Services 2005 & 2000 Crystal Reports
o3-5 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 and higher
oBuild and unit test reports,
oLiaise with business testers and approvers to get reports tested and signed off.
oProvide support to end user report consumers.
oWork with Data Analyst and DBA to ensure data warehouse provides necessary data for reports.
oRelational Database Knowledge especially SQL Server RDBMS
oGood communication and interpersonal skills.
oResearch and support testing and on-going validation of new business metrics
oSuggest improvements in data warehouse design for optimal reporting performance
oWork with end-users to understand reporting requirements and translate into a design document and develop and test reports.
Educational & other Requirements
oBS or BA degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS or equivalent work experience
oODBC report writing experience in Crystal Reports 7.0 or higher (2 Yrs)
oSolid understanding of database tables and relationships
oStrong experience in SQL, Microsoft Access and Excel
oMulti-tasking abilities to handle several projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
oExcellent oral and written communication skills
oAbility to work in a fast paced environment with aggressive deadlines.
oExtreme attention to details
