Victim Response Inc/The Lodge Position: Resource Development Coordinator Experience: Minimum 3 years Status: Fulltime Founded in 2004, Victim Response, Inc. serves as a catalyst for social change in our community by lending our voices and our strengths to victims of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault.This is achieved through the provision of high-quality shelter services, advocacy and counseling.Since opening our doors for service in 2004, Victim Response, Inc. has been committed to stopping domestic violence in every area of our community, and to creating a place of renewal, reconnection, and safety QUALIFICATIONS •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required •Experience in domestic violence and/or non-profit organizations preferred •Experience in fundraising and public relations suggested •Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively •Demonstrated writing skills •Strong organizational skills and attention to detail •Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member in a cross-cultural environment and willingness to meet unexpected demands •Flexible work attitude •Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and ACCESS a must •Must pass all background & reference checks BENEFITS •Competitive salary •Insurance: dental and health benefits available post probationary period •401(k) •Above average paid days off including holidays and paid time off ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS •Coordinate an individual giving campaign •Coordinate special events including logistical planning and staff briefing •Up-date donor database on a weekly basis •Manage communication with donors including written correspondence •Design a monthly newsletter and mail to organizational listserve •Participate in the creation of an annual report together with the resource development team •Participate in research and donor identification •Assist in the development of grant proposals and appeal letters •Prepare and maintain grants and contracts •Manage donor relation activities •Secure, manage, and distribute in-kind contributions •Represent Victim Response Inc. at community events as assigned •Work cooperatively with the Volunteer Coordinator to achieve departmental goals SKILLS •Must be highly organized •Excellent computer and writing skills •Ability to meet strict deadlines If you are ready for a meaningful and challenging career opportunity, please forward your resume along with cover letter for immediate consideration to: Suzanne Quinn Victim Response Inc. - The Lodge E-mail: suzannes@thelodge.cc Fax: (305) 693-2831
