That is really disturbing news.I'll support parents that take the time, interest, effort and responsibility to homeschool their children. Our schools are terrible and getting worse. I refuse to support, votefor, or dump any more money to our failing school system. Prop 187 was passed by the majority of the voters. Our politicians killed it. It killed our educational system.
Of course, you realize the main reason they want to do this is so the schools will get more state moneyby your children sitting in the schools getting a third-rate education. Also they want to indoctrinate them with all the PC stupidity.
This will be fought in the courts. Our governor said he would fight this too.

I heard on the radio California passed a law against homeschooling because parents don't know how to teach.
TEACHERS DON'T know how to TEACH. They are just there for the no nights, no weekends, and Vacation time- 3 months total. They damage our kids as do schools.
I taught my 4 year old how to read in one week. She is now on a 6th grade level in Reading and Language Arts. She has been multipying since the age of 6. Does she socialize? Yes, in auxillary classes (French, Tap, Brownies). We go to the museums and parks 2Xs a week.
If God wanted our children to be with 25 kids to act like dumb monkeys full of germs facing eachother, we women would crank out a litter of 25 at one time like the Old Woman in the Shoe that so many children she did not know what to do she faced them toward eachother, belittled them, let kids abuse eachother on the playground while she sat on her arse gossiping at the picnic tables with other "teachers" that did not want to do their job.
"homeschooled children are slower they don't know how to learn" that man is an ignoramous.
The fact of the matter is Homeschooled children are actually smarter and get higher marks in all standardized test including college exams. He knows it and it makes public schools look bad because they are bad...unless the parents have a low IQ or don't give a rats arse about their kids.
If you would get new text books that are curent not 10 years in the making by the time they get to the students;test the teachers yearly; do weekly drug tests on all employees of the school; put cameras in all rooms and halls including the cafeteria, playgrounds and bathrooms; do yearly background checks on all the employees; rip out all the oak and pine trees and waterfalls and made it a year round school...maybe there wouldn't be a need for homeschooling.
