SUMMARY
Aids the Chief Inspector in the inspection and quality control activities by performing the following duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Inspects company aircraft before, during, and after scheduled inspections.
•Maintains the Approved Aircraft Inspection Program AAIP to ensure that the program is revised as required to stay abreast of manufacturer’s maintenance program changes as well as regulatory changes.
•Audits maintenance records received on a daily basis, audits aircraft historical records for regulatory compliance and proper record retention.
•Maintains tool calibration records for the entire AMF system, supplies monthly reports in a timely fashion showing items due calibration, maintains tool lists by base and system.
•Assists the Maintenance Department with tool identification and registration.
•Maintains and publishes the AMF Approved Vendor List and supporting files, including obtaining the necessary documentation for new vendors as requested.
•Monitors the Parts department receiving inspection process. Provides assistance when needed to deal with suspect parts. Also, provides Parts Receiving Inspector training as necessary.
•Assists the Parts Department is disposing of parts from the green tag area, using the procedures established by the Parts Inventory Manager.
•Assist all stations with Inspection issues.Travels to outstations on a scheduled basis for the purpose of auditing and training.
•Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Inspector and/or Director of Quality Control.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics Certificate preferred, Inspection Authorization preferred, but not required initially; three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
