PROJECT: Data Center Facilities Maintenance and Renovation TITLE: Project Leader for Data Center Facilities and Operations POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position will assist the Director of Facilities Operations to coordinate and lead maintenance and renovation projects for the Information Technology facility. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for overseeing the design, inspection, renovation, and remodeling of maintenance/construction activities of a facility. - Identifies Server/Mainframe Room deficiencies. Define plan/course of action, implement the necessary changes to maximize the physical characteristics of the environment (proper cooling, air flow, humidity and power). - Identifies the overall facilities discrepancies and needs related to the physical plans, and assists in the planning, scheduling, execution, and monitoring of corrective actions. - Responsible for ensuring that all building maintenance systems, equipment and grounds are properly maintained. - Assists in the recommendation of evaluation of material, specifications and contract compliance. - May be required to perform minor maintenance along with facilities staff and zone mechanic. QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field. - Basic Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project Software. - Preferred knowledge of Federal State and Local Laws, codes, ordinances and rules pertaining to the design, construction, occupancy, and maintenance of educational and ancillary facilities.
