Tech USA is actively seeking a Project Engineer for one of our top tier companies in the Miami area.
Candidate Qualifications:
•The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience in maintaining component repair programs for turbine engines.
•Extensive experience in shop processes such as machining, welding, thermal spray, heat treat, painting, assembly, and inspection techniques.
•Experience in developing and implementing repairs for turbine engine components.
•Candidate must be an energetic individual who exhibits the initiative necessary to achieve objectives in a timely manner, within budget, and with minimal supervision.
•The candidate must be computer literate.
Duties:
Provide technical support to all aspects of production.
Provide training and guidance in shop processes and procedures.
Evaluate current processes and procedures for compliance and search for areas of improvements to quality, turn time, and costs.
Review process rejections (reworks) and propose solutions.
Review customer warranties and provide root cause and corrective action in expeditious manner.
Review revisions to technical manuals and implement necessary changes in a timely manner.
Review and implement all requests for router and tech plan revisions.
Periodically review improvements to reassure continued success.
Assist in new product or repair development.
Assist in setting new processes or equipment.
The duties above are to be performed with minimum supervision.
Provide weekly written status of projects.
Project management tools should be utilized with all lengthy projects with an established budget and time line.
Able to follow through on assigned projects and duties from planning, initial start to completion.
