Bringing together an extraordinarily diverse group of Angelenos, Zócalo --"Public Square" in Spanish -- seeks to create a non-partisan and multiethnic forum where participants can enjoy a rare opportunity for intellectual fellowship.” SUMMARY OF POSITION Zócalo Public Square Lecture Series is an eclectic, well-regarded, and fast growing non-profit organization seeking a savvy, intelligent, competent, and confident Program Coordinator to provide all services needed to organize, plan and produce as many as 50 live events a year.We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, audience members, staff, and volunteers. The ideal candidate must also have top-notch organizational, computer, and data base skills.Because we are a virtual organization—everyone works from home yet must attend all live events—all applicants should be highly self-motivated, have access to a car, a computer and the internet.
