Our Los Angeles location is looking for a part time Assistant Digital Photographer who will complete our photography for online catalogues; and assist in photography for authentication, advertising, and printed catalogues.
Essential job functions for this position include, but are not limited to: Completion of all assigned photography by scheduled deadlines using Canon digital cameras and traditional photographic equipment. This person will also ensure departmental satisfaction with quality of photography, up load images to online database, update photography lists and ensure their accuracy, and inform supervisor of any equipment failure or damage.
On the technical side the ideal candidate will maintain complete working knowledge of Digital work /Photography including Canon digital cameras and Photoshop CS, capture, save, export, and archive digital files, proof Epson prints for accuracy, test digital system to further departmental knowledge, and do day to day trouble-shooting and upkeep of equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
* BA in Photography or Fine Arts or equivalent experience
* Experience in 35mm and medium formats
* Experience in tungsten lighting, and catalog photography
* Good graphic design skill with Adobe Photoshop CS
* Ability to complete assignments based on stated, specific deadlines
* Strong organizational skills
* Must be able handle antique property in a professional manner and be able to lift and move objects (requiring lifting, pushing, pulling) using proper lifting and moving techniques; minimum lifting requirement is 40 lbs.
This is an hourly wage, and a part time position. You will be on call and needed approximately 3 days a week, except during catalogue production, which may require additional days. There will be no benefits. If interested please send cover letter and resume to jobs.us@bonhams.com.
