Contracting company seeks an experienced Perl web developer for a long-term assignment with a Federal agency in Key West, Florida. Candidates will be required to hold a minimum active SECRET security clearance.
The successful candidate will work on an ongoing development project building and maintaining a web-based data application. The candidate should have solid experience in the following:
Server-side web development with Perl, including the use of object-oriented concepts;
Experience writing SQL queries for Oracle or other complex RDBMS;
Experience with Perl DBI and DBD database interfaces;
Experience hand-coding HTML/XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
The following skills, while not required, are also desirable:
Familiarity with Embedded Perl or other Perl templating concepts (i.e., Mason, Template Toolkit);
Knowledge of or experience with JavaScript;
Experience with source/version control software, especially Visual SourceSafe;
Knowledge of Solaris, Linux and Apache;
Knowledge of Oracle tools such as SQLDeveloper;
Knowledge of or experience with Agile development concepts;
Experience working in a high-security military or government environment.
