Women Protecting Women, a health promotion research project of the Miami offices of the University of Delaware, is currently seeking one part-time (approximately 10 hours/week) peer support specialist for a position in our office on 79th street and Biscayne Boulevard. This is a strengths-based case management intervention study for black, female, drug-involved women.We are seeking peers who have at least two years in recovery. Peer support specialists will be responsible for supporting women as they attend case management sessions and access needed social and health services. Other duties include accompanying clients to appointments, documenting client contacts, and locating, tracking, and recruiting. Requirements: High School diploma or GED, recent formal employment experience,ability to interact with members of diverse populations, and at least 2 years in recovery from substance abuse Send resume as soon as possible to Christine Spadola via email, fax, or postal mail.
