The successful candidate will be a mid level windows/network administrator who has worked on their own (or with guided supervision) supporting and installing windows workstations and servers for at least 2-4 years. This individual should be very comfortable using Windows XP Professional and have experience supporting Windows servers. This candidate will immediately be responsible forsupport of local and remote users and local and remote networks, as well as installing remote centers from scratch under limited guidance. Requirements Job Responsibilities- •Supporting local and remote users and workstations •Managing backup software and verifying backup operations •Configuring network settings for Voice over IP (VoIP) phones and Video conferencing units. •Adding and altering users, extensions and voice mail in the VoIP phone system. •Troubleshooting connectivity issues with remote T1 and T3 circuits and following up on service calls with WAN providers. •Troubleshooting users LAN connectivity issues including ensuring correct TCP/IP configuration on workstations and proper VLAN membership on switches. •Installing and updating software packages. •Troubleshooting users access to Internet application such as web (HTTP), and email (SMTP, IMAP, POP) •Helping current IT and operation staff setup and install new centers as we expand. •Installing Windows servers •Managing Windows domain users, groups, and group polices •Managing software and Windows Update roll outs •Responsibilities for new projects from start to finish •Managing and programming routers and switches •Troubleshooting network access with router and firewall access lists Job Requirements- •2-4 years experience supporting and installing windows workstations and servers •Significant Desktop support and PC hardware skills; direct contact with end users •Network cabling skills •Moderate level of TCP/IP configuration and concepts •Experience supporting windows users and troubleshooting •Knowledge of Internet protocols and client configuration •Windows Server knowledge (file sharing, domain accounts, NTFS permissions etc) preferred
