Senior Java Developer
This position is responsible for performing a variety of complex technical work in the development, preparation, and testing of computer programs by performing the following duties.
Skill Requirements
•Strong design and programming skills
•Ability to work proficiently in a Unix/Linux environment
•Expert knowledge of Java/J2EE, C, C++, MySQL DBMS, BASH Shell scripting, PERL, IP protocols, and Linux OS
•Experience with web-based applications and/or web services-based applications, especially at massive scale
•Strong knowledge of web protocols, and an in-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix tools and architecture
•Rich Internet application techniques, often Ajax-based
•Strong knowledge and understanding of IP protocols
•Strong OO design and implementation experience
•experience with XHTML and HTML
•extend pages with additional semantics (microformats)
•XML- and/or JSON-based APIs experience
•Excellent debugging skills required
•Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from four-year college or university; and/or 5+ yrs minimum related experience.
