INTRO:
Dakim (www.dakim.com) is a startup company, founded in 2005. We sell a Linux-based appliance providing brain-fitness exercises to seniors. We're growing rapidly, and just received $10.6 million in investment.
As a company, we strongly value quality-of-life. While there's always going to be weekend and evening work, we try to limit that to ACTUAL crunch time -- we all have families, and friends, and pets, and want to spend two days a week seeing them instead of the people we work with.
We need a full-time Quality Assurance Technician in our Santa Monica office.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is dedicated, thorough, energetic, extremely detail-oriented and ready to work in a fantastic environment for a growing company with a promising future.
You’ll be working as part of a small but dedicated Quality Assurance team, testing our internally developed software suite on a custom build of Ubuntu Linux.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills. (This QA position will also involve providing first level support to Dakim customers. Excellent customer service skills are a requirement.)
- Detail-oriented; for this job OCD is a plus.
- Comfortable on Linux command-line.
- Experience with Debian/Ubuntu, especially apt-based package management isa plus.
- Previous QA experience desired, but not required.
SALARY AND BENNIES:
You'll be compensated fairly at Dakim, but you may be able to get a higher salary elsewhere -- our stock options and the interesting challenges we'll offer you more than make up for it.
