Company Description:

Shopping Center Management Firm in South Florida.

Position Title:Director of Human Resources
Reports To:Chief Administrative Officer
FLSA Status:Exempt
Location:North Miami, Florida


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

HR Director must have experience in setting Human Resources initiatives and implement process/programs to assist management in accomplishing its business objectives.
The position will provide leadership and support in the areas of recruitment/retention, performance management, training and development, employee communication, organizational development, compensation, employee benefit programs and employee relations.

DIRECT REPORTS:

HR Manager, Payroll Administrator and Office Management (Receptionist/Office Managers for the Miami Corporate and Regional offices).


Direct HR Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include recruiting & hiring of all personnel, orientation and training programs, performance management process, legal compliance, HR policy and procedures, employee benefits administration, workers compensation, and employee relations. HR Director must be a key player in how the organization executes its overall strategic plan.

o Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to provide clear, effective, timely and constructive feedback to employees, peers and superiors on a variety of employee relations issues.
o Able to set priorities and manage time.
o Able to maintain high employee morale and low turnover.
o Excellent counseling skills.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

- Must have integrity, confidentiality, energy and enthusiasm.
- Experience/knowledge of HRIS and best practices with technology and tracking of HR data.
- Experience/knowledge in training assessment and implementation programs.
- Experience/knowledge in innovative approaches to employee Search,/Recruiting efforts

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 5-10 years management experience with at least 3 years in a director position in Human Resources.

Bachelor's degree obtained through a formal 4-year program.

Provides leadership and administrative direction for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the integrated HR services that is consistent with Company's mission, vision and strategic plan. Must have experience in the day-to-day human resources services such as compensation, benefits, labor laws, employee relations and regulatory compliance.

Language Skills:
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including strong proficiency in Word and Excel, as well as familiarity with other software/database products typically used in the real estate industry. Knowledge in HRIS software a must

Certification/Licenses
PHR or SPHR certification
