The Director of Application Development - Engineering reports directly to the company owner and is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing success of all technology initiatives which support the company's business strategy. The Director is responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development. Responsibilities: Manage and participate in the requirements process for all IT projects Manage all development projects from discovery and requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance Manage the company's technology infrastructure to ensure that it supports the company's strategic goals Anticipate and react to major technology changes to ensure the company leadership in the marketplace Establish technical standards and ensure adherence to them for product development and company operations Manage a team of 6 ( Developers, System Administrators, Business Analyst, QA testers Experience Required: Demonstrated ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and product roadmaps Demonstrated ability to manage projects with tight deadlines and changing requirements Excellent interpersonal and communication skills At least 10 years in technology engineering, with 5 in an management -level position Must be experienced with MS SQL Database, Application Development, Programming in a leadership role or a managerial role Personal Attributes: Ability to work independently coupled with strong customer service skills Detail oriented Strong written & oral communications skills Strong track record of developing people Flexibility as the business needs change and grow Education: Bachelors or Associates Degree and or 10 years of technology focused experience If you are intersted in applying to this opportunity, please copy and paste the following URL into your browser: http://www.futurestep.com/Library/Process.asp?P=Opportunities&KeywordText=CL61533
