Communications Technician / Police
$51,689-$74,690/annually DOQ
We are seeking a talented Communications Technician to work in the highly progressive North Las Vegas Police Department. The successful candidate must possess an Associate’s Degree in Electronics or a related field from an accredited two year college or accredited technical school OR an Electronics certification from an accredited two year college or accredited technical school OR received electronic training via the U.S. Armed Forces and completed a minimum of four (4) years active duty working in an electronics field while in military, plus four (4) years of paid experience in the two-way radio industry within the last six (6) years. Position also requires a valid state driver’s license while maintaining a satisfactory motor vehicle record and the ability to obtain an appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame. Additional requirements include National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Procter Certification within sixty (60) days of hire, while meeting requirements to acquire and maintain a valid Class “A” Nevada Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsement within six months of hire.
