You are right. The place was cool at the start and it still has its cool moments but the direction has changed like most other bar/clubs in south florida. I did return to johnnys and did not see it like it was then. The open mic had a great start and quickly fell apart. Too bad. It looked like it was going to be the place to hang out for a bunch great players but they gave out on us? I just saw things change when the bills started coming in and it is not the same vibe and I don't see it going back to the way it started. Someday someone in town will pull this off right and really do well. Until then I support those who appreciate the musician and good customers. johnnys has dropped down the list some. They took another direction and don't really seem to want rock, blues, or any sort of party music going down anymore. The acoustic and mellow acts have taken over. I thought it was a biker/rocker bar with a good crowd of 30-60 year old drinkers having a good time?

Please bring us up to date on what they have going on there that should attract good players now.
