Tester
Qtask, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated tester who is capable of working in a fast paced environment. The tester's responsibilities include writing and following a plan for testing a Web-based application. The tester will track the progress of the product through all phases of the test cycle. Additionally, using their bilingual skills, some product localization is required. This person must have good written communication skills.
Qtask is a software company that's actually run by people who know how to develop software. We are not one of those companies that ignores your bug reports and asks you to green light code you know isn't ready. When you find a bug, we make a task to fix it. There's no ego here (just evil warlords). If your idea is the best, it gets implemented.
This is a flex schedule position, and from time to time you will be asked to assist with various other tasks around a small office environment, including some IT support work.
Qualifications
·Proficiency with troubleshooting various software applications including web-based applications
·Experience authoring test cases and test procedures
·Communicate effectively both in person, in writing, and on the phone
·Think with a clear mind and originate clever and useful solutions
·Quickly and accurately determine the cause of a complex problem
·Maintain professionalism
·Intelligence, motivation, and a team player attitude
·Must have experience with multiple operating systems and web browsers
·Must be bilingual and fluent in English and read/write at least one other language: Spanish (Spain), Korean, French, Italian, German, Hebrew or Mandarin Chinese preferred
Responsibilities
·Quality Assurance and Product testing
·Learn and understand the product requirements and software test procedures
·Learn about our current product development specification and all software functions
·Perform quality verification tests following the test procedures and software updates
·Cooperate with the other testing team members and engineers to achieve the maximum goal within the given time frame
·Make and submit test reports, including defects details, for every test performed. Make and submit test progress reports
·Identify Improvement opportunities
·Product localization to applicant's second language
