Under supervision of the Facilities Superintendent, this position assists in the day-to-day coordination and oversight of departmental projects, including facility capital improvement projects.Provides assistance to department Project Management staff as required. May perform some of the essential functions of the Project Manager as needed. Monitors contractors’ compliance with City guidelines and procedures, recommends action to Section management to ensure completion of projects. REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) years experience in construction, plus two (2) years increasingly responsible administrative and supervisory experience overseeing construction projects.Some college coursework in building, construction or a related field is desirable.Knowledge and experience with Americans with Disabilities Act Title II is desirable. Some college coursework in architecture, engineering, project management, construction management or a related field is desirable.
