TITLE: Bakery General Manager ORGANIZATION: Our business is expanding and we are seeking a General Manager to join our team at our recently aquired Colorado facility. Our company is a leader in the bakery industry creating a variety all of our specialty desserts that are sold through retailers and foodservice outlets around the country. ACCOUNTABILITY: The General Manager works under the supervision of the Operations Manager to meet the operational and production needs of the facility. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Plant Manager will: *Manage the production, warehouse, and distribution processes to meet order volume, productivity, quality and labor cost expectations. *Manage all bakery operations personnel including creating training & career development programs. *Responsible for overseeing food safety and employee safety programs and the H.A.C.C.P. team *Oversee the maintenance of plant and equipment to meet government regulations and customer requirements. *Develop and manage quality and waste controls for raw materials and finished and packaged goods. *Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager regarding goals, objectives, results and challenges. *Perform other duties assigned by the Operations Manager. *Indicates essential duties. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. QUALIFICATIONS: The General Manager must have: At least five years experience in food production in a volume production operation with at least three years supervisory experience.Previous experience as a Plant Manager helpful. Experience with bakery or pastry production a plus. Knowledge of the equipment, processes, methods and practices employed in production baking. Experience managing quality control and cost expectations. Must be able to lead and work within a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms. POSITION SUMMARY To perform the manufacturing engineering function for special projects, production lines, cost reduction, and continuous improvement. Develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications, safety requirements and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to processes, methods and controls and product design. Ensures safe working practices are designed into all processes. Interacts with all levels of the organization as a team to produce and be accountable for desired results. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES • Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency. • Leads all changes building in long term safe working practices. • Develops, implements and documents effective cost reductions on time. • Specifies and executes machine purchases including verification of machine quality, performance and effect on process. • Interacts effectively with all levels of the organization, frequently participating on or leading cross functional teams. • Communicates design changes to Engineering and Manufacturing. • Works within design procedures of ISO and Quality Systems. • Participates in customer project reviews. • Maintains project status reports for scheduling. • Assures adherence to standard manufacturing practices. • Understands and adheres to current quality and control policies. • Understands and adheres to current health, safety, and envi ron mental policies. • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Description EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 1. This position requires a Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or engineering degree. 2. Minimum 3 years related work experience; experience in the automotive industry or in a global manufacturing company preferred. 3. Must have good organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. 4. Professional verbal and written communication skills essential. 5. Proficient with Microsoft office products — Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of project tracking software a plus. 6. Must have strong, demonstrated technical skills and experience; assembly experience a plus. 7. Medium to high level of understanding of machine design, metal cutting and tool requirements. 8. Understanding of standards and cost estimation LOOKING FOR.MUST BE ABLE TO WORK FULL TIME MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 8AM-6PM (EVERY DAY), NO WEEKENDS. THANK YOU. Qualifications include the following: -At least five years of experience with a law firm, as a certified paralegal, is preferred. -Requires solid experience with the formation, qualification and dissolution of corporate entities, preparation of minutes and resolutions, and maintaining records of parent and subsidiary corporations. -Experience and experience working with a corporate entity database is a plus but is not required. -Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Must be well organized and able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Outlook and Word - Must be patient and able to interact with senior/elderly clientsCandidates must possess a High School diploma and/or GEDon day-to-day operations while not losing sight of the big picture.?
