Forbes magazine just named Miami the city with the cleanest air and water quality in the country! Breathe easy and come for a spring getaway in our lovely, furnished 1 bedroom apartment in the Floridian, a gorgeous luxury high rise in South Beach, right on sparkling Biscayne Bay. We have a sweet orange cat, so we need to find an animal lover who would be willing to cat sit while staying at the apartment.
A single hotel room with this kind of set-up would cost $250-$400 a night in South Beach this time of year. This is $100 a night for an entire apartment. Our previous subletters/cat-sitters have been thrilled with the situation and would be happy to tell you about it upon request.
The building is on the bay side of South Beach, so it's very mellow, residential and quiet, but still within walking distance to everything, including, of course, the beach and its warm, Caribbean-blue ocean. The building features:
*24 hour security desk in the lobby
*2 pools (one is big enough to do laps)
*hot tub
*a terrific gym with treadmills and ellipticals (with individual TVs), universal gym and free weights, etc.
*steam room
*sauna
*tennis court
*classes (yoga, spinning, tai chi, etc.)
*even a convenience store!
Both pool decks sit right on Biscayne Bay, a beautiful spot to watch the cruise ships coming in and out of the port, and to watch the sunset.
The apartment has TV, DVD, wireless internet, dishwasher, and washer/dryer IN the apartment.
We're about a 10-minute walk to the beach, and on the way there's amazing café con leche (a Miami staple), and markets, restaurants, cafés, Whole Foods (natural food grocery), Starbucks, museums, etc. are within a few block radius.
Parking is available for an additional charge, or you can leave the car at home. If you want a ride, a nice, clean 25-cent bus takes you all over South Beach.
